Meet Your Tutor
I am Samantha Williams and I have worked with children and in education for more than 10 years and focused specifically on reading intervention for the past five. After homeschooling my own children for six years, I transitioned into professional instruction and discovered my passion for helping children overcome reading challenges.
I’ve completed Orton Gillingham Level 1 training and draw from that structured, research-based approach to teach reading, spelling and writing. I understand how frustrating it can be - for parents and especially for children - when reading feels hard, because literacy is foundational to all learning.
My goal is to help every child find the spark of enthusiasm for learning, focus on their strengths, and gain the tools they need to succeed and grow in confidence.
When children gain the tools to read with confidence, everything else becomes possible.

Offerings
Each offering is thoughtfully designed to support your child’s unique learning needs while building confidence and a positive relationship with reading.

Individualized reading support grounded in the science of reading and tailored to your child’s needs. Most students attend two or more sessions per week for reading intervention, with one session per week available in select cases, such as homework support. This service includes an informal benchmark assessment and monthly progress notes shared with parents.

Comprehensive 1-on-1 tutoring designed to integrate seamlessly with your homeschool program. In addition to instruction, this option includes increased communication with parents, coordination with curriculum, and collaboration with other professionals your child may be working with. Monthly progress notes are provided to support ongoing planning.

Reading intervention provided at a child’s private school when the school is open to outside tutoring support during the school day. I coordinate with school administrators, teachers, and parents as needed and provide monthly progress notes to keep families informed.
